Stitch - Illo

I feel privileged to have been selected for inclusion in Stitch-Illo, a new publication from Uppercase magazine. 46 artists from all around the world are featured in separate chapters. It is a beautiful book and if you are interested in Textile Art or want to be introduced to some makers you have not heard of then this book is for you. Here is a link with info

Shore Birds

have been on  holiday this last week staying  in a shack on the beach. It's been a good place to birdwatch and we even remembered the binoculars!
Here are a Little Tern, Godwit and Sanderling - all made this week.

Garland Flowers

Last week I was teaching near Scarborough and drove home the coast way through Robin Hoods Bay. It is always special to drive past Old St Stephens and be reminded of the Maidens Garlands and how I had a happy time making my own for the long forgotten dead girls in the Victorian grave yard.
read more about it HERE
I am absolutely DISGUSTED that you can now do "Champing" in this beautiful old church with its painted wooden pews and special history. No respect............

Two new collages

Plan to start selling work like this on Etsy soon. I find pieces like this difficult to let go of as every bit of fabric within has some special meaning but a time will come when I have to let go!
